The main categories for the 2020 Revolution ROARS have been principally decided, with a new Listener Award still to have a final definition, and with a new Outstanding Contrbution to Rock Award also added to the roster.

The awards are as follows:

• Best Artist

• Best Album

• Best Newcomer

• Outstanding Contribution to Rock

• Listener Award

• The DJs Special Awards

All the main awards, with the exception of the Outstanding Contribution to Rock award, will be for artists and bands active in 2020 from January 1st through to December 31st, with all nominations made and reviewed through January 2021. The final winners will be announced in a special show at the end of January 2021.

Bonnie Foster, co-owner and Station Manager at RRO said, "The response to the 2019 Revolution ROARS was incredible, both from listeners and the artists themselves, we decided that we would gradually expand the number of awards each year. We are also aiming to build on the special broadcast show, so that this years winners will be announced live on air first, before announcements on the website and social media."

Darren Smithson, co-owner and DJ on the station, added, "Eventually, we plan to do a live announcement show at a venue at some point, with listeners and winners in the audience, contributing to the excitement. We know this is some ways off, but we're getting such reaction to the awards already, we think this will be a great thing to aim for."
