Regular listeners to the BRS and TWS will know that I often use the phrase "introduced to them on my German exchange trip" but did any of you realise just how defining those trips were to my musical identity? Two years before the NWOBHM I was listening to Uriah Heep, Scorpions, ELOY, ELO, Alan Parsons Project, Super Tramp, Genesis, Kiss & Pink Floyd amongst others. This show will play songs from the bands I was introduced to- or at least came back with first album purchases from-- in my German exchange trips in 1977 to 1979.
