The greatest rock DJ of them all, and my main inspiration, Tommy Vance was sadly taken from us far too early,, but for many of us of a certain age, Friday night was Radio 1 night, as his bassy tones would bring us music that was a must hear, new bands and albums that we went on to support and purchase. This second show will have songs and bands I heard for the first time thanks to TV on the Radio, but also, surprises and a special guest, Tommy himself :)
The show is in three parts - hosted by me with a bit or two from TV himself- will be songs I heard for the first time on The Friday Rock Show. The second, I hand over to Tommy himself, to interview Bruce Dickinson and play songs from a classic Iron Maiden album.... and then the third part will be a Live at the FRS special with live tracks from bands featured in the FRS external broadcasts.
Hope you can join me!
Final Line Up.
It's gonna be 3.5 hours of the best in TV on the Radio as I present my second tribute to the man who is my greatest inspiration and who first gave me the desire to be a rock DJ: Mr Tommy Vance.
