New Broadcast Partner Offers More Reliability & More Ways to Listen!
CFR has today chosen SHOUTca.st to become its new broadcast partner after continued issues with former partner Listen 2 My Radio.
However, far from this being a quick move to secure broadcasting continuity, we wish we'd found SHOUTca.st many moons ago, as they offer far better service, radio directory handling, player links so you can listen on more devices using more of your favourite software, and some exciting new features we're trying to wrap our heads around about how we can deliver them here!
We will be switching over to the new service tonight, immediately after Drive with Doc & the Gang, so there will be a small break in the stream. You will also need to refresh your browser to get the new player page and player app on the Home Page.
For the moment, we will provide the players for a host of devices, and an HTML 5 player using web-embed on the site in our RevolutionONE player page. We will provide a new Internet Radio link from today as well, however, Android and iOS users will need to wait a while (although the small player on the home page works brilliantly on Android phones- I use it all the time whilst travelling), as well radio directory users.
No l2mr app or player will work with CFR after 6pm tonight.
We apologise for the inconvenience but what we have to offer via SHOUTca.st is so much more what l2mr could bring, with a better service and increased stream reliability, we suspect you won't mind after a few days :)
