What is GDPR I hear you ask!
In a nutshell, we have to make our website EU law complaint on data management, usage and collection- and make it all transparent to our listeners. To that end, we will tonight be making sure our site is compliant and that you understand what our obligations are, how we use and collect your data and so on.
Within that however, we make the following disclaimer. The way that our app providers collect and use your data is not the responsibility of Crossfire Radio. We are a small enterprise and do not have the resources to guarantee that Facebook, L2MR, Marci and so on use your data correctly- although we do guarantee that we will make every effort to confirm all our partners are GDRP compliant over time.
We also confirm the following:
Crossfire Radio will not share your information with any other organisation.
Crossfire Radio will however use your information to occasionally market ONLY our services and products to you, save where you explicitly opt out. The way that you can opt out will be clarified in our new Privacy Statement which will follow later.
Crossfire Radio will show you what information we have on you when requested to do so. We will not however share information we have on other members with you, even family members, save where the member is your child (or you can prove parental responsibility).
Crossfire Radio staff members, including associate staff members, will all have confirmed their own responsibility to the station's data protection and privacy policies, and abide by 1 to 3 above.
I will add updates in the comments section of this post as we add and update all our processes and procedures. Please bear with us as this is a MASSIVE piece of work for such a small entity.
Update. We have now added the Privacy Statement to our website, along with a downloadable PDF of it. The page you need is https://www.crossfireradio.net/privacy-statement
Furthermore, on the same page, we have added 3 contact forms, one for Information Held Request, one for Opt Out of Marketing Request and one for Delete Information Held requests.
There's a lot of advanced stuff we'll be doing over the coming months, and news on those will be made here when the occur, and the Privacy Statement will be updated accordingly.
