Following the release of Wayne Hussey’s book Salad Daze in May. I was invited to go and see the event in Worcester.
Hiding down the back streets of Worcester. The Marrs Bar is an amazing little venue, with a capacity of around 250 people.
Supporting Wayne Hussey on the UK part of this tour is the delightful Evi Vine.
The evening revolved a combination of Mr Hussey covering The Mission back catalogue including Love Me To Death, Like A Hurricane, Wasteland and Tower Of Strength on either guitar or keyboard, with some surprise cover versions thrown in. Hearing him play ‘Personal Jesus’ by Depeche Mode was a total treat, and also ‘Marian’ by The Sisters Of Mercy.
Between an evening of songs, we were all treated to Mr Hussey reading passages from his book.
I lovely evening, and a total treat for fans of Wayne Hussey and The Mission.
Mr Hussey now continues his tour into Europe, supported by the most awesome Ashton Nyte from The Awkening.
