2021 looks like being the year of the Concept Album. This is great news for those of a certain age, but for the "Spotify 3 minute-attention-span generation", it may end up blowing their minds, so sadly they will probably ignore this mini-renaissance of great music. Yes, times are tough for new & independent musical talent who want to make great music that speaks to the soul, and not simply spurt out 3 minute bubble-gum spam!

This, most certainly, is not an album for those without an attention span. What it is, is an epic instrumental mixture of rock, pomp, prog and new age that has burst from the mind of one man. From the opening track "Dawn of Chirality" to the closing "Paradox", this is a high energy, riff laden synth-tastic potpourri of musical influences and styles that never breaks out of the overall sound the musician intended to create. There's even a track that starts with a disco-type backbeat, but just as you are raising an eyebrow and thinking "What on Ear...?" the guitar comes crashing in with a riff that is as meaty as any classic rock guitar.

So, what's it about?

According to the musician at the heart of the album, Rich, Nucleosynthesis "is the creation of the new from the old. Specifically, it describes the process of nuclear fusion that occurs at the heart of a star..."

The album is also an exploration of Rich's own psyche as well as a journey through a universe of pulsating and ever changing energies.

It's also beautifully mixed and produced, and the artwork is stunning in and of itself. The music however, is simply out of this world.
