You know when you look at a band and you think you know what kind of music you're gonna get? You'd be wrong with this lot.

The music sounds like a young, energetic but talented set of musicians making steroid-enhanced guitar pop rock, with a definite 90s rock sound. There is nothing wrong with that at all by the way. Except then you look at their photos. They're nearly as old as me! Anyhow, once you get over that shock and actually listen to the CD, oh my! This band ROCK.

Let's try and define them a little better. Vocals that concentrate on harmonising rather than tearing up a song (Michael Angel, take a bow). Guitar solos that drive the song forward rather than break out of it (likewise Ranko Veltro). Structures that range from 90s pop rock given a modern sound (thinking of The Message for example), to more typical riff based hard rock (think Race the Rain)- though still with those harmonies. They're kind of like a NWOBHM band with a Dokken Under Lock & Key production sound. In other words, they're pretty hard to put into a category, but let's just say it's definately ROCK. And it's great rock at that.

As for the band, they have a collective age of over 200 and hail from Liverpool. Yet their energy belies their age group, although their sense of humour does not. And their obvious experience instrument and song writing wise raises this album above being another melodic rock album. Oh and mention must go to the solid driving backbone to the band provided by David Steele on bass and Al Catraz (I told you their sense of humour was dodgy!) on drums.

The album is released on Friday 5th April through CAT Records and you can pre-order it now (see links below). All in all this is one band that is gonna get the full Crossfire Radio attention.
