Brilliant choices. My favourite front man is David Coverdale, I love organising sweepstakes over how many times he can shout HERE'S A SONG FOR YA ! during a gig. Although I have seen Cher, Tina Turners, Fleetwood Mac and Vixen live, I sadly can't pick a favourite front woman because I would like to see more female fronted bands.
And for the female I have had a lot of thought on this and finally settled on Charlotte Wessels. Great stage presence and the ability to woo the audience with her charm and charisma.
I would say for me the greatest frontman in rock was and still is the late great Freddie Mercury. Not necessarily the greatest vocalist but as a frontman he could get an audience eating out of his hand within minutes.
And coming as no surprise, my favourite front woman is Gabby Young. Totally mesmerising on stage, Gabby has the unique ability to become the song during a performance, and does so without it appearing forced or unnatural- she simply carries you away with the narrative. Go and see her and I will guarantee you will come back and agree.
My favourite front man is probably Bob Catley- forget that he's got one of the best voices in rock and just concentrate on his ability to take an audience with him through the meaning of a song. I've never seen anyone take a room full of bikers and have them moved to waving their arms in the air singing "whoaooooo woe...." (to Les Mort Dansant) like he can. Add to his stagecraft the fact that he DOES have one of the best voices in rock, and you have an amazing performer.

I agree with The Rev - for me the best frontman has to be Freddie Mercury. The ultimate showman.
The greatest female to front a band, no shocks or surprises on this one. The lady herself
Doro Pesch, great voice, great looks and she really enjoys what she does on stage.
