Always a great time of the year to plan your gigs/festivals for next year. We are going to see the brilliant Avantasia on their only UK gig at the 02 Forum in Kentish Town in London on 16th April and HRH Blues (again, for 3rd year in a row) at Sheffield - also in April. We are hoping to see Sari Schorr again next year but the venue is still to be arranged. Others on my 'wish list' include Walter Trout, Tom Killner, DC Blues, Voodoo Sheiks, Chantel McGregor and, if The Nimmo Brothers do another tour, then will definitely be up for that. Add on The Blues Cruise in August with Joe Bonamassa, Peter Frampton, King King etc in August and it's looking like a good year for gigs. Still to come this year are Rebecca Downes (acoustic) in Sedgefield on 1st December and Def Leppard in their home town of Sheffield on Dec. 14th.
Well, as you know I had to stop going to gigs last year cos I couldn't stand or walk for long, however with the new plan of successful treatment and its 6 monthly cycle for the next 5 years I can finally start again. Me and Bon have already said we're gonna make a list over Xmas of all the bands we wanna see and what dates they will be touring- and for me I want to see the following for the first time:
