This Tuesday's Classical Corner was all set up last week with a theme of 'Seven' - with all tracks having a Seven somewhere in the title or the numbering. However, in view of this week's sad news, I am going to rename it 'Seven Decades' to commemorate the time we had our much loved Queen at the helm of the Monarchy.
So there will be themed tracks from the Featured Album of the week which is Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 (which is uplifting, even by Beethovenian symphonic standards; the Seventh was later described by Wagner as ‘The apotheosis of the dance’), Wakeman, Einuadi, 2Cellos, Banks, Mendelssohn, Schutz, Bach and Richard Strauss.
Come and join me at Midday on Tuesday for 2 hours plus of Classical Excellence, only on RevolutionONE.
